These Pigeons are capable of breeding all year round but peak is March to August
with with usually 2 eggs hatching. 9 broods can be raised in a year but 4 - 5 is

Herring Gulls are, unsurprisingly, costal. They are omnivorous scavengers that prefer
to feed and roost in colonies. It is thought that Herring Gulls mate for life and
can live for over 20 years.
How can we control these birds?
Prevent them from landing on roofs and window ledges by installing nets and spike
systems. They can also be scared away or live trapped. Birds of prey can also be
used to scare birds away.
